Empower Yourself.The Senior Accountant prepares accounting entries and financial reporting in accordance with local regulations. Also handles the complexities of financial operations, reporting, and compliance, involving managing day-to-day accounting functions while ensuring adherence to local accounting standards and internal controls.What you will do
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and other relevant regulations
Record and maintain journal entries and the general ledger, including the analysis of data, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded
Perform monthly reconciliations of all accounts, identifying discrepancies and ensuring timely resolution and clearing of reconciling items
Play a key role in the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring that all transactions are captured, and financial reports are completed on time
Work with internal and external auditors to support the audit process
Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns in compliance with Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) regulations, including VAT, withholding taxes, and other local taxes
Support the finance team in tax planning and strategies
Monitor daily cash flow and perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting of cash positions
Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payment and collections
Ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets
Provide guidance and training to junior accountants and other members of the finance team to ensure accurate and timely completion of accounting tasks
What you will bring
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
4 - 7 years of finance or accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role
Strong knowledge of accounting software (SAP pr other ERP systems – Blackline, Ariba, Concur)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
Familiarity with Philippine tax laws, BIR regulations, and PFRS
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in preparing financial statements and reports
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability to identify discrepancies and propose solutions
Fluent in English (oral and written communication)
