Medical Biller Salary Range: $850 to $1,200 per month We are a long-term care provider dedicated to delivering high-quality care and support to our residents. Our work depends on accurate and efficient billing processes to ensure we can continue providing the services our community relies on. We are looking for an experienced Medical Biller to join our team, with a strong focus on accounts receivable, collections, and denial management. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the financial health of our organization by securing timely and accurate reimbursement from payers. What You&aposll Do: Review and manage denied, rejected, and aging claims within billing systems. Work claim queues to identify root causes of denials and take corrective action, including resubmissions and appeals. Make outbound calls to Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, and commercial payers to resolve unpaid or underpaid claims. Post payments, denials, and adjustments accurately, ensuring ledgers remain balanced. Escalate recurring denial trends, underpayments, or systemic issues to supervisors or RCM leads. Document all payer interactions, follow-ups, and account activities with accuracy and timeliness. Collaborate with admissions staff, Medicaid planners, and internal teams to resolve eligibility or coverage issues. Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare billing regulations. Consistently meet productivity and collections targets. Who You&aposll Work With: Be a vital member of our revenue cycle and billing operations team, collaborating with other billers, admissions coordinators, and healthcare administrators to ensure timely and accurate payer reimbursements. Who We&aposre Looking For: Minimum 2 years of U.S. medical billing and accounts receivable experience, with strong knowledge of denial management and collections. Solid understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing rules, including appeal processes. Hands-on experience with UB-04 and/or CMS-1500 claim forms, ICD-10 codes, and CPT/HCPCS coding basics. Ability to interpret and reconcile EOBs/EOPs and resolve discrepancies. Proficiency in payer portals, clearinghouses, and billing platforms (PointClickCare or other RCM systems). Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with confidence making payer follow-up calls. High attention to detail, persistence, and problem-solving ability in pursuing collections. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment. LTC billing experience preferred, but strong RCM/medical billing background required.
