We are searching for an experienced Virtual Assistant (Bookkeeping-focused) with a strong track record of supporting construction businesses in Australia. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end bookkeeping and admin tasks, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth operations.This role demands precision, accountability, and initiative. You will be the backbone of the business' financial and administrative functions, trusted to deliver consistently at a high standard.Key Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping & Financial Admin
- Accounts payable/receivable, reconciliation, BAS preparation support
- Payroll preparation and superannuation coordination
- Preparation of financial reports and job costing summaries
- Construction-Specific Administration
- Manage quotes, purchase orders, and supplier invoices
- Support estimating and cost tracking processes
- Assist with Buildxact job management system (preferred but not mandatory)
- Business Support
- Email and calendar management
- Document preparation and data entry
- General admin tasks to keep business operations running seamlesslyEssential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 10 years' experience as a Bookkeeping/Administration Assistant supporting Australian businesses
- Proven track record working with construction industry clients or builders
- Solid knowledge of Australian business accounting practices (GST, BAS, ATO requirements)
- Some experience with Buildxact (job management/estimating software) is highly regarded
- Advanced proficiency with Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with Australian clients and suppliers
