Qualifications: Must be a college graduate with a degree in Bachelor Science in Accountancy or any Accounting degree. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related/relevant field, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is considered a plus Proficiency in various accounting software, preferably QuickBooks Online and Bill.com Proficient in MS Excel and Google sheets Required Skills: Effective people management skills. Fundamental understanding of accounting principles and proper recording of financial and/or regulatory transactions. Adept in general ledger accounts and dictionaries Extensive experience in accounting functions, e.g., bank reconciliation, accounts receivable and accounts payable monitoring, bookkeeping functions, financial statements, schedule preparation, as well as auditing. Ability to handle critical and confidential documents. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Computer and internet savvy. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Duties and Responsibilities: Ensures understanding of the scope of work based on the Client Arrangement Letter. Assists in the successful implementation of processes migrated from the client to MontPac. Participates in on-boarding of new clients, migration of accounting records and transition of accounting responsibilities. Assists and guides associates in regular accounting functions such as bank reconciliation accounts receivable and accounts payable monitoring and bookkeeping functions. Take ownership/accountability of client accounts by ensuring that the following functions are handled cautiously and in a timely manner and timely coordinating reports, recommendations, feedback, etc., to the Senior Accounting Officer, Team Leader and higher management, as appropriate. Financial statement analysis Apply accounting and system knowledge to complex and unusual accounting transactions and issues Ability to act as the Client's Controller in raising red flag issues Understand the Client's complex business and peculiar needs in recommending solutions to issues. Identification and proposal of process improvements. Handles complex, non-routine and technical accounting tasks beyond the associates' knowledge and skill level. Develops and manages a process of ensuring quality of reviewed accounting and document management processes performed by the Document Management Team. Develops and manages a process of ensuring that transaction processing and review are performed accurately and in a timely manner. Adheres to and strictly complies with the Company's operational control guidelines (e.g. MontPac way, MontPac Reporting Standards). Ensures proper and timely communication with clients including follow-ups of client deliverables (e.g. e-mails, conference calls, etc.). Identifies and communicates issues and exceptions with the management team and other team members, and recommends/proposes appropriate action plans to address the issues and prevent recurrence of errors, if any. Coordinates with Team Leader and other team members in order to properly manage workload distribution. Prepares detailed process documentation and facilitates transfer of information as well as transition of processes to new team members. Disseminates knowledge acquired and best practices noted to all personnel to enhance productivity and efficiency (e.g. tax/payroll filings for US and Local Authorities, applications of online user ID for vendors and customers). Performs the preparation of client time budgets and has an ability to explain significant variances, fluctuations and monitors client profitability Identifies gaps, develops recommendations, management initiatives and solutions in order to help management assess client service experience and improve client satisfaction and loyalty. Performs other tasks assigned by the management through trust and confidence. Leadership: People Management Introduces MontPac and its purpose to team members for better understanding of the business. Initiates and develops the learn, grow and have fun culture of MontPac to ensure sense of belonging within the team and the organization. Advocates for the MontPac Core Values to ensure alignment within the team and the organization. Guides subordinates in adhering to company policies, procedures and practices. Makes recommendation for hiring, firing and promotion of subordinates. Performance Management Trains, coaches and mentors subordinates whenever necessary, to ensure quality of performance. Reviews subordinates' performance periodically and makes necessary recommendations in terms of salary increase and promotion.
