This is a remote position.ABOUT THE CLIENT:The client is an industry-leading provider of premium turf solutions across four farm locations in Australia. Committed to delivering exceptional quality and service, we are now seeking to consolidate and streamline our Accounts Payable function through the introduction of an experienced offshore Accounts Payable Officer.JOB SUMMARYThe Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of daily accounting functions across multiple farm locations. This role involves managing accounts payable and receivable, processing transactions, preparing reconciliations, and supporting month-end and year-end reporting activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in handling multiple entities within an international or remote working environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain and update accurate financial records for multiple farm locations.Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate posting.Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts regularly.Prepare and submit BAS, GST, and other statutory compliance requirements (as applicable).Assist in payroll processing and ensure compliance with local laws and company policies.Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.Support month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries, accruals, and reporting.Generate financial reports and provide insights to management on financial performance.Maintain proper filing and documentation for audit readiness.Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.Contribute to continuous process improvements in bookkeeping and financial operations.Requirements
  • Minimum 4-5 years of proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar role, preferably supporting multiple entities.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (preferably MYOB AccountRight) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • University degree or certification in Accounting, Finance, or related field is highly regarded.
  • Experience preparing BAS, GST, and other compliance requirements is desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
