
Support Automation and Deployment Engineer

- Participate in the processes of strategic project-planning meetings
- Providing guidance and expertise on system options, risk, impact and costs vs. benefits
- Create and share operational requirements and development forecasts to allow for timely and accurate planning of projects
- Responsible for maintaining and supporting IT solutions
- Install and configure solutions, implement reusable components, translate technical requirements, assist with all stages of test data, develop interface stubs and simulators and perform script maintenance and updates
- Build automated deployment procedures through the use of configuration management technology
- Deploy new modules and upgrades and complete fixes within the production environment
- Create modules ready for production, which entails moving them according to specific procedures and documenting knowledge transfer
- Routine application maintenance tasks are an ongoing responsibility
- Create requirements and procedures for implementing routine maintenance
- Troubleshooting existing information systems for errors and resolving those errors
- Design and implement infrastructure on AWS for new projects.
- Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting during high severity incidents on these environments.
- Be available as an escalation point according to a standby roster in order to maintain customer operations.
- Tertiary qualifications (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline from College or University.
- Industry experience essential, Amadeus knowledge preferred.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python
- Knowledgeable in cloud technologies such as AWS, etc
- 2 to 5 years experience in DevOps / Cloud Development/Automation Deployment
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline, Using Cloudformation/Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Coding in different languages for the purpose of IT Robotics / Automation.
- Track record of providing excellent operational support to end-users for a minimum of 2 years.
- Good to have any certifications in ITIL / AWS
- Ability to manage change within the support organisation.
- Ability to relate to, and communicate with, people and processes on all levels
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to act with minimal supervision, actively supervising and motivating staff
- General understanding of full stack devops, analytics and testing
- Experience collaborating with software development teams using version control systems and agile methodologies.
- Experience using data management and data analytics platforms
- Skilled and experienced at managing high tech hardware / software systems.
- Experience in software development life cycles
- Experience designing for scale e.g. using Docker etc, recommended
- Awareness of emerging trends and developments in relevant technologies
- Sound time and resource management skills
- Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Amenable to work on a hybrid work setup in BGC Taguig
