About The Job Logistics Officer About the role To provide professional logistics support to the Austal Philippines business, including optimising modes of transport, selection of suppliers and regulatory compliance whilst ensuring on-time deliveries at the lowest cost. Key objectives & responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ensure all logistics activities and interactions with Austal are conducted in line with health, safety, environment, and quality expectations and keep the stakeholders well informed for every progress. Freight forwarding and brokerage tracking and statistics. Optimizing modes of transport. Obtain quotes for airfreight & seafreight shipments especially to the other expedited freight arrangements, breakbulk projects, chartered vessel, working with large vehicle fleets then present to stakeholders for assessment. Planning and monitoring the arrival, unloading and removal from site of shipping containers in conjunction with production and warehouse to ensure we do not incur detention & demurrage fees. Ensure compliance to Bureau of Customs and Marina regulations for every importation and exportation. Knowledgeable enough to the Rules and Regulation of RA No. 7916 (The Special Economic Zone Act of 1995) to ensure compliance and justification for every importation and exportation to PEZA. Audit and analyse supplier metrics and invoice accuracy. Conduct process improvement and documentation. Oversee the files and relevant documents, including the filing of documents, physically and electronically (IP, TSAD, AEDS, 8105, 8106, 8112). Familiarize the conditions and identification of every chemical in the MSDS so we will know if this is considered as DG for the proper way of packing and needful documentation in accordance with the acceptance of the shipping lines and airlines. Manage all logistics supplier relationships. Manage relationship with PEZA. Develop, implement, and maintain logistics contracts. Monitor compliance to Austal Philippines terms and conditions and contractual supply arrangements. Essential Required Skills / Experience / Attributes: Bachelors degree in logistics, engineering, business, or similar. 2+ years experience in logistics/customs/brokerage/supply chain/engineering or similar. Knowledge of international trade and customs law, PEZA regulations Interpersonal skills a team player Excellent written and verbal proficiency in English Good analytical skills and ability to prioritize in the face of multiple tasks Desirable Licensed Customs Brokers Why Austal Competitive compensation and benefits package.
