The Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing key modern trade accounts (e.g., department stores, home improvement chains, and large-format retailers) within the furniture category. This role ensures strong in-store execution, sales performance, and strategic partnerships with retail buyers while aligning brand presence with overall business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Handle modern trade accounts Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers and category managers Lead regular business reviews and performance discussions Drive sell-in and sell-out performance across assigned accounts Monitor sales targets, margins, and profitability Identify opportunities for expansion, assortment growth, and new listings Ensure proper product display, visual merchandising, and brand presence in-store Coordinate with store operations for stock availability and replenishment Oversee promo execution, activations, and in-store campaigns Analyze sales data, competitor activity, and market trends in furniture retail Recommend pricing, assortment, and promotional strategies Provide insights to internal teams for demand planning and product development Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and operations teams Manage merchandisers or account officers assigned to stores Ensure execution standards and KPI achievement Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field 3-6+ years experience in modern trade, key account management, or retail sales Preferably from furniture, home, appliances, or FMCG industries Strong understanding of modern trade operations (listing, promos, negotiations) Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
