Who we are looking for: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and technical accounting skills, with a proven ability to manage property-related financial operations efficiently. What You&aposll Do: Bookkeeping : Record revenue and expense accruals, depreciation, amortization, and other journal entries to ensure accurate financial tracking. Accounts Payable : Review check runs and maintain document and vendor correspondence files. Accounts Receivable : Reconcile deposit write-offs and bad debt entries, ensuring financial accuracy. Account Reconciliation : Reconcile bank accounts, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accounts payable, long-term debt, member equity, revenue, and expense accounts. Financial Reporting : Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and supplementary reports. Prepare monthly AME packets for the portfolio. Generate weekly accounting reports, including bank reconciliation and financial analysis. Month-End Close : Complete month-end procedures for assigned properties, ensuring timeliness and accuracy. Year-End Activities : Support audit and tax return preparation. Invoice Management : Approve invoices while maintaining financial data accuracy. Requirements What You'll Need Education : Bachelor&aposs Degree in Accounting (preferred). Accounting Knowledge : Strong understanding of GAAP and technical accounting concepts. Experience with journal entries, general ledger analysis, and financial reporting. Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience working with accrual basis, cash basis, and operating expenditures. Communication : Ability to read, analyze, and articulate financial reports for business correspondence.
