Job Category: OperationsJob Description:The Senior Assistant Vice President / Senior Operations Director is responsible for leading and overseeing the strategic and operational functions of the business unit, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and compliance with company standards. This role drives operational excellence, manages large teams and leaders, optimizes processes, and partners with senior executives to deliver on organizational goals.The SAVP/Senior Director plays a critical role in scaling operations, strengthening client relationships, developing leaders, and ensuring a high-performing, engaged workforce.Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Leadership & ExecutionPartner with executive leadership to define, align, and execute business strategies.Translate company goals into operational roadmaps with clear KPIs and accountability structures.Drive change management initiatives to support growth, transformation, or restructuring.Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring long-term business sustainability. 2. Operational Management & PerformanceOversee day-to-day operations across multiple functions, regions, or accounts.Ensure delivery of client and business commitments (SLAs, KPIs, budgets).Implement best-in-class practices for efficiency, quality, and scalability.Monitor business metrics and provide insights/recommendations for continuous improvement.Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. 3. Financial & Business AccountabilityDevelop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost-optimization strategies.Drive revenue growth opportunities through operational excellence and client partnership.Review P&L performance, ensuring profitability targets are met.Lead initiatives to reduce operational costs without compromising service quality. 4. Client & Stakeholder ManagementAct as a senior point of contact for key clients, building trust and long-term partnerships.Collaborate with cross-functional leaders (HR, Finance, IT, etc.) to deliver integrated solutions.Present business reviews, performance updates, and strategic initiatives to senior executives and clients.Anticipate client needs and align operations to support client satisfaction and retention. 5. People Leadership & Talent DevelopmentLead large teams of senior managers, directors, and their organizations.Build a strong leadership pipeline by coaching and mentoring future leaders.Foster a high-performance, inclusive culture that promotes engagement and retention.Oversee workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design.Drive accountability and recognition through clear performance management systems. 6. Transformation, Innovation & Digital EnablementChampion process improvement, automation, and digital tools to drive efficiency.Leverage data analytics for decision-making and performance optimization.Lead transformation programs that future-proof the business against market disruption.Encourage innovation and adoption of new ways of working.Qualifications: Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor's degree in Business, Management, Operations, or related field (Master's preferred).12-18+ years of progressive experience in operations, including leadership of large teams.Proven track record of delivering results in a senior leadership capacity (Director, AVP, VP).Strong financial acumen with P&L ownership experience.Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.Experience in large-scale transformation, process optimization, and digital operations.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
