We're looking for an experienced and strategic Business Development Manager to lead and grow our telesales and prospecting team. This is a leadership position responsible for guiding a team of sales agents to identify and qualify new business opportunities. While you will be responsible for the team's overall performance, your role does not involve making outbound calls. Instead, you'll focus on coaching, strategy, and managing the sales pipeline to ensure your team consistently meets its targets and contributes to our company's growth.Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Management: Hire, train, coach, and mentor a team of sales agents. You'll set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and motivation to ensure the team's success.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute prospecting strategies to generate high-quality leads. You'll analyze market trends and performance data to optimize campaigns and target the most promising industries and accounts.
- Performance Oversight: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team, including qualified appointments set, lead conversion rates, and activity levels. You'll conduct regular performance reviews and provide reporting to senior leadership.
- Pipeline Management: Oversee the team's use of HubSpot to ensure all activities are logged accurately and the sales pipeline is well-managed from initial contact to qualified appointment handoff.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the senior sales team to ensure the quality of leads meets their needs. You'll act as the key liaison between the prospecting team and the closers.
- Sales Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve prospecting workflows, sales messaging, and training materials to increase team efficiency and effectiveness.Qualifications
- Proven experience in a sales management or team lead role, preferably within the IT or B2B services sector.
- A demonstrated ability to train, coach, and motivate a sales team to meet or exceed targets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and create actionable strategies.
- Expertise in using CRM software, specifically HubSpot, is required.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
- A deep understanding of prospecting and lead generation methodologies, with a focus on non-phone based strategies.
