The Manager will lead the GA Credit Middle Office Asia team, oversee daily operations, reporting, and people management. Managing 7 FTEs, the role ensures timely and accurate credit limit update and monitoring for securities investments which includes tracking of credit rating agency changes and annual review submissions for General Account and Manulife Investment Management portfolios. The role is also responsible in preparing weekly and quarterly reports, coordinating with investment teams, and responding to time-sensitive requests from internal stakeholders and auditors. The role also supports data-driven decision-making by developing standardized reports and dashboards using Power BI, handling ad hoc reporting, and improving middle office workflows. Position Responsibilities Lead the team in maintaining a database of all internal and external public rating agency credit rating changes as well as credit limit for names held in GA and MIM portfolios. Prepare weekly reports of these changes for and lead the discussion of these changes in weekly team meetings. Deliver quarterly summaries of ratings changes for use in the preparation of the Quarterly Loan Review packages. Track credit limit, utilization, capacity and alert breaches for names and prepare reports on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis on this. Ensure that the Annual Revise tracking database is properly updated and maintained. Handle time-sensitive requests from internal groups for information and/or action Coordinate and prepare audit schedules, documentation, and reconciliations to support internal and external audit requirements, ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit inquiries. Manage the teams' day to day operations, promoting efficiency and team effectiveness by ensuring SLA achievement through quality control, capacity management, operational excellence and team enablement. Provide key decision support to the key business stakeholders through availability of relevant financial information, providing detailed analysis and recommending appropriate action plan. Take the lead role in resolving critical issues raised during operations meetings and proactively manages and monitors control efficacy to ensure potential risk is minimized. Work closely with the global stakeholders to ensure smooth reporting and assisting in ad hoc requests as needed. Develop, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards that enable self-service reporting and provide insights for GA Credit Asia. People Management Drive the team to achieve its organizational goals and objectives. People management responsibilities include hiring, compensation strategy, promotion, performance management, and capability development of direct reports and their teams Perform the People Manager role for performance management, professional growth and development of staff. Strategize in terms of the direction and identification of opportunities for team growth and development. Lead the regular business reviews and produces dashboards and metrics reports detailing the team's performance, challenges and areas for improvement. Prepare budget and resource forecasts to ensure alignment with planned headcount and financial targets. Project/Initiatives Lead Act as the project manager who will oversee the BU initiatives, implementation and tracking of any short-term or streamlining and automation Support and deliver on key transformation strategies of the group, as a priority, which includes strategic reviews on existing processes and submission of business cases for prioritization in the change agenda Improve and re-engineer reporting processes and deliverables to create consistency and efficiency during month-end and quarter-end cycles Initiate improvements by exploring, identifying, and implementing reporting, analysis, and process solutions Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Math or related field Pursuit or completion of CFA or FRM preferred. 5+ years in financial services, including 3+ years in a leadership role. Demonstrated strong performance across multiple functions including investment analysis, industry analysis, credit risk, written and oral expression, strong attention to detail, work ethic, and sense of urgency Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
