Primary Details Time Type: Full timeWorker Type: EmployeeThe purpose of this role is to manage, maintain, and optimize QBE's application system environments. The role involves application administration, troubleshooting, user management, security, backups, and coordinating with IT application teams to ensure system availability and optimized performance.Responsibilities:Administer and monitor applications for optimal performance.Perform system updates, patches, and user access management.Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.Administer system backups and data restoration requests.Support applications and collaborate with development and infrastructure teams.Provide technical support and ensure system documentations are updated.Perform deployment of code changes, table amendments and direct data amendment approved by Release Manager and Change Management boardWork Experience:Necessary Work Experience includes:
  • Moderate relevant experience.
Preferred Work Experience includes:
  • Working knowledge in IBM iSeries (AS400) environment to be able to support requirements e.g. OS upgrades, security patches and other upgrade initiatives etc.
  • Working knowledge using RBO (automation tool)
Qualifications:Necessary Qualifications include:
  • Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications include:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field.
