Position Summary:Our client is a growing equipment hire company supplying a wide range of dry hire construction equipment and attachments across multiple states in Australia. Their fleet includes excavators, site dump trucks, skid steers, hydraulic hammers, rock saws, and moresupported by 24/7 service and in-house maintenance teams.As a Damage Assessment Coordinator, youll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our equipment post-hire. You'll be responsible for inspecting machinery and attachments after return or maintenance, identifying damages, and ensuring accurate and fair charge assessments.Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of returned equipment and attachments following maintenance or rental.
  • Compare pre- and post-hire condition reports to identify discrepancies and determine if damage charges apply.
  • Collaborate with operations, logistics, and workshop teams to finalize assessments and related documentation.
  • Use rental management systems (MCs Rental) to track inspections, update records, and schedule evaluations.
  • Support accurate invoicing by clearly distinguishing chargeable damage-related issues from general wear and tear.
  • Communicate with clients or internal teams to resolve damage-related concerns professionally and efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in damage assessmentideally from equipment hire, construction, or insurance industries
  • High attention to detail, especially in report analysis and condition comparison
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable using rental management or scheduling tools (experience with MCs Rental is a plus)
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with construction machinery and hydraulic attachments
  • Exposure to maintenance workflows and chargeback procedures
  • Experience resolving damage claims or supporting related invoicing processes
