- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations (approx. 200 transactions per month)
- Manage AR/AP reconciliations, handling 400+ invoices monthly
- Oversee Accounts Payable, including weekly pay runs and approvals
- Maintain and update accounting systems (Xero and Dext or similar)
- Monitor and troubleshoot data feeds
- Prepare and present weekly aged payables reports to directors
- Provide general bookkeeping and administrative support as required
- Process weekly payroll for approximately 15 employees
- Manage monthly superannuation processing
- Support Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting and year-end finalisation
- Assist with BAS and IAS preparation in coordination with the external accountant
- Support Taxable Payments Annual Report (TPAR) preparation
- Assist with payroll tax requirements
- Proven experience working with Australian construction clients
- Strong proficiency in Xero
- Familiarity with Dext or similar document management tools is essential
- Solid experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable and payroll processing
- Working knowledge of Australian compliance requirements (BAS, STP, etc.)
- High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
