This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse client base, contribute to business objectives, and deliver exceptional client service.Responsibilities● Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.● Prepare and review Business Activity Statements (BAS), Installment Activity Statements (IAS), PAYG submissions, and other tax compliance obligations under the Australian taxation system.● Assist in managing financial accounting and reporting activities for entities, including preparing financial statements and completing payroll-related tasks.● Perform bookkeeping tasks for various clients using software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and MYOB.● Collaborate with the accounting and bookkeeping team to achieve client outcomes.● Maintain accuracy and compliance across all tasks while providing proactive support to clients and team members.RequirementsRequirementsPreferred Skills and Experience:● At least 3+ years of combined experience in accounting and tax-related roles● Strong preference for experience with the Australian taxation system, including preparing Australian tax returns.● Proficiency in bookkeeping software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and MYOB.● Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.Essential Skills and Attributes:● Exceptional attention to detail and a strong desire to exceed expectations.● Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.● A courteous, genuine nature and eagerness to help clients and team members.● A proactive, problem-solving attitude and a commitment to self-development.● Strong organizational and time-management skills.Work Setup● Morning schedule following Melbourne hours.● Work-from-home setup.
