Silverlens Manila seeks an IT Specialist who will be accountable for the upkeep and resolution of computer systems and networks. This individual will handle hardware and software installation and configuration, oversee system performance, ensure security measures, and deliver consistent technical assistance to users. ROUTINE DAILY CHECKING Perform technical checks and provide support to staff for their day-to-day technical problems with software or hardware Coordinate with the Media Manager for website and email maintenance and resolution of any issues/concerns Monitor and maintain the gallery's computer systems and networks. Install and configure hardware and software when needed Maintain system security and protect against external threats such as hacking or phishing activities Establish Cloud Backup setup and maintenance Make recommendations for system improvement ROUTINE MONTHLY CHECKING Computers - iMacs, Windows PCs, Macbooks Perform a full scan for virus protection Perform disk cleanup and disk defragmentation Provide recommendations on how to manage files Provide recommendations on whether the units need parts for replacement or when it is time to purchase a new computer set Perform software updates TECHNICAL 1 SYNOLOGY File Server - (Silverlens Centralized File Storage) Check the health of all disks and disk volume Perform Data Scrubbing (search and clean up data inconsistencies) Perform File System Defragmentation Generate Disk Usage Report Install software and firmware updates if available Perform essential checks to protect the file server against cyber threats Maximize or recommend the use of a Server Backup to sync the stored files on the cloud 1 HP 24-Port Gigabit Network Switch - main distribution of Silverlens network. Check all ports Check all units and port connections physically Check the network summary for inconsistencies Perform manual restart APC UPS - power load, physical connection and battery health Check the power load of all units Check if all the power cables are properly connected Check the battery if it is working properly and if its status is healthy 2 ASUS Gigabit High-Performance Wi-fi Access Points - 1st on 2nd floor Perform a manual restart Check all units and port connections physically CCTV Perform a maintenance check Check the unit and all connected ports physically Check if all CCTV record/history files are intact and saved for checking when needed Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field At least 2 years of experience in a similar role Excellent technical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail Knowledge of computer hardware and software systems Familiarity with network protocols, security, and server administration Experience with Hyper Backup App and cloud backup systems Knowledge of cybersecurity threats and protection measures Familiarity with CCTV systems and maintenance For more information about the role, please send an email to [HIDDEN TEXT] .
