Job Summary The Company Nurse is a qualified Occupational Health Personnel who provides occupational health services to colleagues, responsible for developing and implementing health and safety programs, assessing health risks, in addition to the prevention and treatment of illness or injury. The Company Nurse should promote good health among colleagues, keeping health records, and maintaining good communication with company management regarding healthcare and safety issues. Essential Functions And Tasks In the absence of a physician, to organize and administer a health service program integrating occupational safety, otherwise, these activities of the nurse shall be in accordance with the physician. Provide nursing care and first aid treatment to injured or ill workers including assessment, wound dressing and dispensing of medicine. Maintain inventory and stock of medications and other medical supplies. Participate in health maintenance examination. If a physician is not available, to perform work activities which are within the scope allowed by the nursing profession, and if more extensive examinations are needed, to refer the same to a physician. Participate in the maintenance of occupational health and safety by giving suggestions in the improvement of working environment affecting health and well-being of the workers. Maintain a reporting and records system, and if a physician is not available, prepare and submit an annual medical report, using form DOLE/BWC/HSD/OH-47, to the employer, as required by these standards. Education And Experience Requirements Degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Registered Nurse with an update PRC License. Must have fifty (50) hours of BOSH Training for Nurses. With at least 1-2 years' experience as Company Nurse. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Excellent knowledge and skill in emergency healthcare-related issues in the workplace. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Critical medical thinking in making healthcare recommendations. Able to comfort colleagues who are in pain and explain problems clearly. Knowledgeable with HMO related concerns. Willing to work on a shifting schedule. Computer literate. Other IND2
