- Identify and develop new business opportunities in target markets, including SMEs, startups, and established corporations.
- Promote and position the accounting and bookkeeping services to potential clients through various channels (cold calling, networking, online outreach, etc.).
- Conduct market research to identify trends, client needs, and competitor analysis.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
- Schedule and attend client meetings to understand needs and present tailored service solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams (accounting, software development, operations) to ensure client satisfaction and successful onboarding.
- Prepare proposals, service agreements, and coordinate pricing discussions.
- Track and report on business development activities, pipeline progress, and conversion metrics.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, best practices, and financial trends to enhance consultative sales conversations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the financial services, accounting, or professional services industry.
- Experience in B2B sales is much preferred than B2C.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to generate leads, close sales, and meet revenue targets.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and client service orientation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Someone persuasive and a problem solver who is great with negotiations.
- Experience working with SMEs or startups
- Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping concepts
- Familiarity in CRM
- Someone with background handling North American clients
- Existing network of contacts in relevant industries
