Our GEC is made up of more than 3,000 talented individuals working in offices across Romania, India and Philippines, providing Capability, Capacity and a Competitive Advantage across a wide array of unique projects and services, in collaboration with our global businesses.The MEPF Discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) in the GECs is comprised of cross-functional teams, that contribute to the development of innovative MEPF solutions that optimize energy efficiency, sustainability, and occupant comfort. Our ability to effectively manage projects, assess client needs, and provide technical guidance is crucial in delivering successful outcomes, using the most innovative way of doing computational design.Role Responsibilities:This role will form an integral part of our Global Excellence Centre (GEC) – Arcadis’ centralized and fully integrated project delivery group. Our ability to effectively manage projects, assess client needs, and provide technical guidance is crucial in delivering successful outcomes, using the most innovative way of doing computational design.Your role will include, but is not limited to:

Conducts engineering design of ventilation, heating and colling installations under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Designs, calculates, sketches, 3D modeling, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Build proficiency in REVIT and other software used in the design process.
Performs the tasks within the agreed-upon budget and schedule.
Prepare reports and presentations as directed by senior engineers.
Follow company standards and procedures including design and checking.
Preparing all the necessary drawings for the specific phase of projects (report, 2D plans, schematics, sections).

Mandatory:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical (HVAC) or Building services.
Good knowledge of design software (e.g. AutoCAD) and calculation software.
Minimum of 1 year experience in HVAC engineering is required.
Strong English language skills.
Eager to learn new capabilities and skills.
Good understanding of norms and standards related to HVAC.
Candidate to have problem solving skills, creativity, to show proactivity and analytical skills.
Good planning, organizational, and communication skills are necessary for success in this position.
To show interest in personal and professional growth, in a challenging, rewarding, and competitive professional environment.
To be able to perform his/her own quality check and to be conscious around safety in design principles.

Nice to have:

Masters degree in Mechancial (HVAC), or Building services.
Basic knowledge of Revit MEP.
Participation in internships for AEC companies
Candidate to show out-of-the box thinking in order to identify any opportunities for automation or innovation.
