The opportunity – Compliance QA SpecialistFor the Compliance Hub in Manila we're looking for a Compliance Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist who will provide support to the Asian Compliance QA team and the Asia Regional Compliance team in Singapore. The Compliance QA Specialist will have the following responsibilities:Develop and perform compliance quality assurance reviews (leveraging data analytics where possible) to monitor compliance risks across AsiaCarry out second line monitoring activities associated with the roll-out of policies under the Enterprise Risk Management FrameworkTo keep abreast of the emerging compliance risks and regulatory environment that the Business operates in, and to proactively identify areas for improvement on testing framework and methodologyMulti-task – have the ability to work on several different reviews with different individuals at the same timeBased on quality assurance results, provide recommendations to improve implementation guidance for Business/Compliance officers on assessment of compliance risks, and ensure that remediation steps are taken to address gaps in the risk assessments or deficiencies that were identifiedProvide regular reporting to Asia Management and Regional/Local Compliance on quality assurance outcomes, including remedial actionsHow to succeedIdeally, you are an individual who is a self-starter, who exudes energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm to join the Compliance Hub in Manila and to be part of the Asia Compliance QA team. In performing the compliance quality reviews, you will leverage trend/data analysis to check compliance with regulations and the bank’s internal policies. You should also be comfortable handling multiple reviews/tasks and interacting with different stakeholders within the bank, including staff in the First-Line-of-Defence and senior management.Skills and experience:8-10 years of experience in compliance assurance/testing, or external/internal auditAbility to work independently in compliance assurance activitiesThe candidate must have excellent time management, analytical and communication skills as well as ability to build rapport with the BusinessKnowledge of Wholesale Banking business/products and Compliance risksBusiness analytics or data analytics (preferred but not required)As Compliance QA Specialist, you report hierarchically to the lead of the Compliance Hub in Manila and functionally to the lead of the Asia Compliance QA team. The Asia Compliance QA team is part of the Asia Regional Compliance team based in Singapore. The Asia Compliance QA team performs quality assurance activities across all ING Asia entities, to assess compliance with banking regulations and the bank’s internal policies. The team also works closely with other Compliance colleagues and the relevant Business Lines to refine the bank’s processes, as part of the bank’s management of compliance risks.The role is based in Manila (Makati) where you'll join a team of three Compliance Specialists in the Compliance Hub who provide different types of compliance support to the Asia Regional Compliance team (e.g. Compliance QA, Financial Crime Compliance, Conduct Compliance & Ethics etc). The Compliance Hub is a center of expertise. With concentrated compliance knowledge and expertise we offer a central solution for compliance activities to all ING entities. We are servicing multiple ING entities in APAC and Europe. Compliance Hubs are located in Manila, Warsaw and Bucharest.
