WHAT IS THIS ROLE ABOUT This role is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of comprehensive health and safety programs across the organization. The position ensures full compliance with local and international safety regulations while proactively identifying and mitigating health and safety risks. It plays a key role in fostering a strong safety culture by collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and communicate clear policies, procedures, and training programs. The role also involves overseeing the performance of safety initiatives through regular audits, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement-driving evidence-based improvements that safeguard employees' well-being and support operational excellence across all branches. WHAT WILL YOU DO Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies, procedures, and systems aligned with company standards and government regulations. Design, update, and communicate safety protocols to ensure accessibility and understanding across all branches. Conduct regular risk assessments, site inspections, and incident investigations to identify hazards and implement corrective actions. Monitor and report the implementation and effectiveness of safety programs to the Health and Safety Lead and Management. Train the Market Incident Investigation team and support investigations to ensure root cause identification and resolution. Coach branch Safety Officers and leaders to strengthen functional competencies and encourage key safety behaviors. Collaborate with contractors and external service providers to ensure proper safety program setup and health services delivery. Lead the development of emergency preparedness plans and facilitate emergency drills across locations. Develop and deliver health and safety training programs in coordination with the Learning & Development team. Track safety KPIs, analyze trends from incident data, and drive continuous improvement through strategic safety initiatives. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. Minimum of 4 years' experience in health and safety roles, preferably in a multinational company or BPO setting. Preferably accredited by DOLE as a Safety Practitioner (or qualified for SO3 accreditation based on experience and training). Strong experience in implementing and managing safety programs across multiple business sites or branches. Skilled in writing safety policies, procedures, incident reports, and risk mitigation plans. In-depth experience conducting risk assessments, emergency preparedness planning, and safety audits. Proficient in developing and delivering both general and specialized safety and health training modules. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels. Solid understanding of applicable health and safety laws, regulatory requirements, and technical safety standards.
