- DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).
- The Infrastructure Container operations role is focused on administering and supporting the Kubernetes Container Platform ecosystem for the organization, in both AWS public cloud and on premise.
- Manage and maintain existing Kubernetes and Linux server infrastructure.
- Manage the container platform ecosystem (Break fix, monitoring) via IaC.
- Manage, independently installs, customizes, and integrated commercial software packages via IaC.
- Upgrading and patching Kubernetes environment, preferably OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
- Development, Defect fixing, User stories using JIRA, Root cause analysis, Project Install support and Maintenance
- Contribute to and support the corporate Enterprise Container Strategy.
- Cluster capacity management and provisioning through automation of underlying hosts
- Provide L1 and L2 engineering support to developers and other engineers.
- Work with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing.
- Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability.
- Create system documentation/playbook(s).
- Partner with experienced team members to develop accurate work estimates on work packages.
- May serve as a mentor on procedural matters to less experienced internal and third-party team members.
- May assist team members with the delegation of work packages.
- Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately.
- Developer background is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 1-3 years of related experience in a DevOps environment.
- Trained in Amazon Web Services (AWS), VMware, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, Linux, Bash scripting, YAML, Bitbucket, GitHub, Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana and JIRA
- DevOps engineer with at least 3 Years' experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, Jenkins, CI/CD, AWS, and VMware.
- Proficient in code compilation, packaging, and deployment. Experienced in code analysis and coverage tools like SonarQube.
- Knowledge and experience implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket, GitHub and Jenkins, infrastructure automation, and cloud environments.
- Knowledge in creating branching strategies, merging, and managing access in version control tools like Git.
- Knowledge in tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift Cluster, AWS, Ansible and Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins for continuous integration and end-to-end automation of builds and deployments.
- Knowledge in AWS provisioning of AWS services such as EC2, S3, ELB, RDS, IAM, Route 53, VPC, Auto Scaling, CloudWatch, Lambda, SG and SNS.
- Knowledge and Hands-on experience in VMware provisioning with knowledge of provisioning vm's, disk storage and all TCPIP related services, such as DNS.
- Knowledge in creating Docker files, building images, running containers, and managing Docker volumes and registries.
- Knowledge of GitOps and ArgoCD concepts and implementations.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Management of the Kubernetes platform lifecycle management
- Knowledge of RedHat Linux administration.
- Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, and Chef).
- Knowledge of delivering infrastructure as code (IaC) using CI/CD practices and Terraform concepts.
