Job Description: The Regional Sales Manager will lead the field management team of his/her assigned branches to expand Sun Life's manpower and business. He/she will oversee the execution of agreed strategic and tactical action plans to ensure delivery of the objectives for the short to medium term. Responsibilities: 1. Branch planning and monitoring: Ensure that every NBO goes through a business review, goal-setting and action planning and progress monitoring that is aligned to company objectives & practices. 2. Manpower expansion: Drive initiatives that will enable the NBOs to achieve their manpower target. Initiatives shall include, but not limited to: BOFs, recruitment & selection clinics, activity monitoring, MC & UM appointment, ISO expansion. 3. Productivity improvement: Drive initiatives that will improve productivity of advisors (i.e. activity ratio, case count & case size, PLAN B qualification). Initiatives shall include, but not limited to: segmented interventions, moving up programs, customer engagement activities (e.g. FP and client forum), and activity management. 4. Execution discipline: Strengthen the execution discipline of the branch management teams. Enable NBOs to implement established business practices and guidelines consistently (e.g. JFW, unit meetings, market conduct standards, etc.).Resource management: Utilize available resources to achieve cluster objectives. 5. Manage team performance through resource & execution planning, business & performance review, mentoring and coaching, and staff engagement activities. Skills and Knowledge Required: College graduate of any business/marketing related course with minimum 5 years' experience gained from working in a Life Insurance company. Should have extensive exposure to managing projects directed towards the sales force. Excellent oral and written communication skills, personable, systematic, creative, with above average management, negotiation and interpersonal skills. Has the ability to work under pressure in a team environment under minimal supervision. Must be computer literate, can drive and willing to travel.
