Job Purpose Perform as a senior structural engineer and work closely in projects on site. Has a team of Jr. Engineers and CAD Operators assigned under him to help him provide the design deliverables for his project. Develop concept designs for new and prospective projects for vertical or horizontal structures. Involved in construction projects from the earliest stages right through to completion. Duties And Responsibilities B.1. Minor Managerial/Administrative Duties Maintains a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization Write performance reviews and solve internal issues Coordinates activities of unit with other units or organizations Confers with higher level of management Provide guidance and direction to team to ensure operational and technical excellence Monitors working production of Designers and CAD Operators Evaluates team members for their technical skills, performance and productivity Supervise Jr. Structural Engineers who design, plan and develop design projects Supervise supporting staff, CAD operators involved in the assigned projects B.2. Technical Duties Leads discussion on design parameters to the client/consultant representative with regard to Structural Design. Represents the company for all the structural related meetings and coordination. Checks technical accuracy of work, monitor production, and implement quality control Approves, reviews and/or modifies drawings, designs and/or plans, and calculations Responsible and accountable for project drawings related to the department or project assigned Prepares and/or presents design proposals to clients Work closely on design and construction plans with client and other professionals. Attends regular meetings with clients, contractors and other specialists when needed. operations Supervises, monitors and coordinates on-site project development and Deals with problems that might come up during construction Maintains documentation records of generated design deliverables Make sure that project meet legal guidelines, environmental directives, and health and safety requirements Maintains documentation records of generated design deliverables Ensures project documentation and contracts are in compliance with the local and national standards Initiates and maintains contact with clients and other experts for clarification, coordination and negotiation of critical issues B.3. Other Duties Drafts proposal and reports for clients if necessary Coordinates assigned works to Jr. Structural and CAD Operators Keeps and monitors daily man-hour work log. Qualifications Education At least graduate of Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Must have license in Civil Engineer Trainings Training on Project Management Advance Auto-CAD training Design structure training Adept in STAADPro and Etabs Skills Leadership Skills Excellent in verbal and written communication Computer proficient in MS Office applications, CAD, STAADPro and Etabs Strong visual awareness and an eye for detail Good interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to all level of staff Analytical and organizational skills Critical thinking Mathematical skills Time management skills Good command of written and spoken English Strong judgment and decision making Experience Minimum of two to five years in Structural Design work Atleast 1 year supervisory experience Physical Requirements Has flexible schedule Required to have visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, and using measurement devices
