As a Platform Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain key observability systems to support our analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
You will work closely with other engineers to ensure the seamless flow and accessibility of high-quality data across the organization.
Your expertise will drive data architecture decisions, optimize performance, and contribute to the success of data-driven projects.
Additionally, you will collaborate with Analysts, Engineers, Architects and stakeholders to ensure data is effectively utilized for generating insights and informing strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain our Single view of different build blocks via E2E monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health
Improve reliability, and quality of our suite of our monitoring solutions
Measure and optimize system performance
Provide primary monitoring support and engineering for multiple large-scale distributed software applications
Implement SRE standards and define SLOs
Understand the custom observability requirements and provide solutions using the available monitoring solutions
Gather and analyze metrics from applications
Co-ordinate with different development teams to improve monitoring metrics
Automation of Monitoring tools
Reliability with well-defined service-level objectives

Key Capabilities/Experience

Good knowledge of observability and monitoring tools like Grafana, Kibana, Loki, Tempo and Prometheus
Good understanding on Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) with strong analytical mindset
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Agile / Scrum methodologies
CI / CD tooling: Azure DevOps, Git, Ansible
Issue trackers like ServiceNow or Azure Boards
Keen on documenting work
Nice to have: knowledge on Kafka, OpenTracing, Opentelemetry

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
3 - 5 years of experience in platform engineering or a similar role.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java.
Agile / Scrum methodologies
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Ability to communicate effectively and present/demo ideas and solutions
