Job Description The Sr. Application Architect leads teams of software engineers, with diverse cultural backgrounds from different parts of the world, in delivering innovative software solutions to business problems, requirements, and goals. This role plans, manages, and coordinates all software development activities to deliver success of the project on desired schedule and budget. Responsibilities Leads, plans, and oversees software development projects, with stakeholders from diverse cultures, from start to finish to provide software solutions to increase revenues and productivity. Participates in the planning, estimation, architecture, and design of software solutions to enable cutting-edge technology. Establishes and manages software development processes and standards to improve the team productivity and ensure best practices. Coaches and mentors multinational development teams in the development of high-quality software solutions to improve software maintenance and support. Develops technical and process trainings to allow the team to remain technically relevant and competitive. Manages performance of software engineers including quarterly and annual performance assessment. Leads the development plan of software engineers to achieve their career growth. Participates in the recruitment process of software engineers. Qualifications 8+ years experience with software development 5+ years' experience as a Solutions Architect or Senior Software Engineer Strong experience designing, reviewing and documenting AWS based solutions. Strong experience with AWS Infrastructure as Code (Cloudformation or Terraform) Highly proficient with C#/.Net and SQL Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Swagger/OpenAPI, Git and Azure DevOps/Jenkins (or similar) Strong understanding of architecture patterns and a passion for best practices. Comfortable doing Developer code reviews which are geared toward increasing team knowledge. Solid understanding of secure coding and application security patterns. Experience designing end-to-end solutions that integrate various systems, applications, and data sources. Experience developing architectural designs, specifications, and implementation plans for digital solutions, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices. Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and trends and make recommendations for adoption based on their potential impact and value. Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept to deployment and support. Experience conducting architectural reviews and assessments to identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to act as a mentor and consensus builder.
