Manufacturing Engineer I Summary / Major Function of the Job: The Manufacturing Engineer (ME) reports to the ME Technical Lead./ Manufacturing Engineering Manager.The ME shall perform routine manufacturing engineering work requiring application of standard engineering techniques and procedures. This position shall establish tool, gage and fixture concepts, design and fabrication hours; review and approve tool, gaging and fixture design drawings and shall solve shop floor problems associated with prove outs and production of medium complex parts and processes. S/He shall provide accurate and usable N/C programming data by converting N/C program outlines into specific coded machine instructions for medium-complex parts and/or machines. S/He is expected to initiate and conduct studies directed toward more efficient manufacturing of parts. S/He shall work with Moog domestic and global supply chain - vendors, suppliers and subsidiaries - to provide information and data for a low cost manufacturing efforts from a tactical standpoint. Education and Experience Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Technology or completed at least three (3) years technology course Three Years Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering / Industrial Engineering with Machine Shop Course Two (2) years as Manufacturing Engineer Skills and Knowledge: Must possess good interpersonal skills.
