The Actuarial Analyst provides Reserving and Pricing support as part of the UK General Insurance Actuarial team. The candidate will process, validate and interpret data to statistically model and determine results for the business. The candidate will be required to develop, maintain and update reports and communicate results into the Senior members of the Actuarial team. Assist with the quarterly reserving project to determine the reserves required and results of the business. Build models for portfolios of business to analyze their performance and identify areas for improvement. Perform pricing modelling and analysis of business opportunities Update, validate and improve quarterly reports monitoring the performance of the business for senior management. Communicate results into the Senior Actuarial Analysts and present findings to the Actuarial team. Design and implement optimal data collection processes to update and maintain databases/data systems Implement process Improvements to improve the speed and accuracy of processes. Enthusiasm to learn and develop analytical, statistical, IT and communication skills. Ability to capture, organize, analyze and statistically model data, interpret trends and produce results. Excellent communication and team working skills. Strong personal skills, well organized and able to work independently or as part of a team. Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel, etc.) Knowledge of using databases (SQL) Knowledge of using programing languages (VBA, Python, R) Desire to learn Actuarial skills including Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) membership
