We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Planning & Reporting Head to lead the financial planning, budgeting, and reporting functions within the insurance sector. This role will ensure accurate financial analysis, regulatory compliance, and provide strategic decision-making support to senior management and key stakeholders.Financial Planning & BudgetingDevelop and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and strategic plans across all business lines.Lead quarterly and annual planning processes in collaboration with underwriting, claims, and investment teams.Prepare variance analyses and deliver insights on budget performance versus actual results.Support business development activities through financial modeling and profitability analysis.Financial Reporting & AnalysisOversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards (IFRS/local GAAP).Ensure timely and accurate submission of regulatory reports to relevant authorities.Prepare management reporting packages, including KPIs, profitability analysis by product line, and trend analyses.Develop and maintain financial dashboards for executive and board-level reporting.Risk Management & ComplianceCollaborate with actuarial teams to analyze reserve adequacy and monitor loss ratios.Ensure compliance with solvency and capital adequacy requirements.Support internal and external audits, address findings, and implement recommendations.Monitor and report on key financial risks such as underwriting, investment, and operational risks.Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop a team of financial analysts and reporting specialists.Establish and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.Provide training on insurance accounting principles and regulatory requirements.Promote cross-functional collaboration with underwriting, claims, actuarial, and investment teams.Required QualificationsEducation & CertificationsBachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.Professional certification (CPA, CFA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.Experience8 to12 years of progressive financial management experience, including at least 5 years in the insurance industry.Proven track record in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting in non-life insurance.Strong knowledge of insurance accounting principles and regulatory frameworks.Experience with statutory reporting and solvency regulations. * Technical SkillsAdvanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools.Familiarity with insurance core systems and accounting software.Understanding of actuarial concepts and insurance mathematics.Knowledge of regulatory reporting standards (IFRS 17, local regulations).
