Description Position at First Sumiden Circuits, Inc. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Production Management, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3-8 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing, or cost control. Strong background of relevant experience in Production and Production Production Planning & Control Knowledgeable in FPC or PCB manufacturing processes Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budget management, forecasting, procurement, resource allocation and cost control. Core Responsibilities Developing Production Plans: Creating detailed, realistic production schedules to meet customer demand and sales forecasts. Capacity Planning: Determining the necessary workforce, machinery, and materials to meet production targets. Workflow Optimization: Organizing workflow to maximize throughput and minimize bottlenecks. Adjusting Schedules: Renegotiating timelines and re-allocating resources as needed to accommodate urgent orders or deal with production delays. Cost Control and Financial Management Budget Development: Preparing and managing departmental budgets, including labor, raw materials, and overhead. Variance Analysis: Comparing actual production costs against standard or budgeted costs to identify, analyze, and correct discrepancies. Waste Reduction: Implementing initiatives to reduce waste, such as improving material usage or streamlining processes. Cost-Saving Initiatives: Identifying and driving opportunities for cost reductions in manufacturing, such as implementing Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles. Inventory Control: Monitoring inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods to avoid overstocking and reduce holding costs. Operational Control and Supervision Supervising Staff: Managing, training and evaluating performance of staff. Quality Control Oversight: Ensuring products meet quality standards and specifications, collaborating with quality assurance teams to reduce defect rates. Equipment Maintenance: Coordinating with maintenance teams to ensure machinery is operating at peak efficiency, minimizing downtime. Health and Safety Compliance: Enforcing health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA standards) to maintain a safe working environment. Analysis and Reporting Performance Monitoring: Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production efficiency, downtime, and on-time delivery, etc. Reporting to Management: Preparing and presenting regular reports on operational performance, budget variances, and production status to senior leadership. Data-Driven Decision Making: Using production data to analyze trends, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
