We believe that work should be enjoyable, stimulating and fun! The Department Finance is where the money is, so the department sits at the very heart of our business. Our Finance team is based in Bucharest (Romania) but has representatives based around the world, particularly in Asia which is a major market for us. Building strong and successful relationships with our clients ensures that we are able to maximise our ability to collect money that they owe us. The Role The Local Accounting Executive is for managing and maintaining accurate financial records. This includes tracking income and expenses, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities: Recording Financial Transactions: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank transactions. Record all financial transactions in the company's accounting software or ledger. Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and consistency. Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement). Generate reports for management, ensuring they have accurate information for decision-making. Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, track payments, and follow up on overdue accounts. Ensure timely payment to vendors and timely receipt of payments from customers. The Requirements Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficient in MS Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP). Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Knowledge of financial reporting tools and software (ex. XERO, NAVision, Sage, Quickbooks, etc.) Attention to Detail: Ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in financial data. Time Management: Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
