- Project Planning: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
- Budget Management: Estimate costs, manage the budget, and track expenses to ensure the project remains financially viable.
- Team Leadership: Manage and provide guidance to sub-contractors, and internal staff.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work complies with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and engineers, providing regular progress updates.
- Procurement: Negotiate contracts and manage the acquisition of materials and equipment.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans to minimize delays.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in construction project management (Commercial/Residential/Industrial).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or Primavera P6) and AutoCAD.
- Certifications: PMP or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) is a strong plus.
- Leadership: Ability to command respect on-site and motivate a diverse team.
- Critical Thinking: Quick decision-making skills when faced with unexpected site conditions.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for reporting and negotiation.
- Detail-Oriented: A "keen eye" for quality control and structural integrity.
