- Prepare, review, and submit claims for orthopedic services in compliance with payer requirements.
- Post payments, adjustments, and denials accurately into Athenahealth EMR.
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve issues promptly.
- Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and authorizations as needed.
- Collaborate with providers, coders, and insurance companies to ensure clean claims.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, billing regulations, and organizational policies.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in medical billing, preferably in an Orthopedic practice.
- Proficiency in Athenahealth software required.
- Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding, and reimbursement processes.
- Familiarity with payer requirements and healthcare insurance policies.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a permanent WFH setup.
- Amenable to work during U.S. business working hours.
