As an Architect in IBM Consulting, you'll serve as a leader in defining solutions for clients. You'll be the advocate for the client while guiding the technical team to implementation.
You'll collaborate with client stakeholders and internal partners to understand the business problem and requirements, constraints of the system and concerns of the various stakeholders to systematically transform detailed solutions (architectures) for the client.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Consult with clients and propose architectural solutions to help move & improve infra from on-premise to cloud or help optimize cloud spend from one public cloud to the other.
- Be the first one to experiment on new age cloud offerings, help define the best practice as a thought leader for cloud, automation & Dev-Ops, be a solution visionary and technology expert across multiple channels.
- Good understanding of cloud design principles, sizing, multi-zone/cluster setup, resiliency, and DR design. Solution Architect or similar certifications from AWS is a must.
- Good business judgment, a comfortable, open communication style, and a willingness and ability to work with customers and teams.
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead discussions with client technical experts, application team & Vendors to drive collaboration, design thinking model towards reaching the desired objective.
- Minimum 3-5 years of cloud technology implementation of AWS/Azure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience building and releasing infrastructure-as-code (IaC) in controlled environment
- Must have knowledge of containerization technologies for such deployment in either AWS/Azure
- Experience in setup, configuration, and deployment of AWS Cloud native services such as AWS Lambda
- Experience in setup and configuration of application and database health and performance using cloud native services such as Amazon CloudWatch and AWS X-Ray
- Experience in Windows/Linux administration
- Experience in setup, configuration, and deployment of AWS Cloud native services such as AWS Lambda
