WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US SimCorp is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Revenue Lead Accountant for Quote-to-Cash (QtC) team. This role will primarily focus on customer contract setup, accurate revenue recognition in compliance with IFRS 15 standards (specifically for SaaS models), and customer invoicing operations. The role requires strong expertise in contract management, applying the IFRS15 5 five-step revenue recognition model. The ideal candidate has experience in contract review, subscription-based billing models, and revenue accounting processes. This position will work closely with Sales, Legal, PMO, CS, Commercial and Regional Finance to ensure accurate revenue forecasts and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. What You Will Be Responsible For Lead the set-up and review of customer contracts (including amendments, renewals, and terminations) ensuring contract set reflect all terms relevant to revenue recognition. Apply IFRS 15 revenue recognition principles in line with IFRS 15 to recognize revenue accurately, specifically within SaaS subscription models and SBL arrangements, including allocation of transaction price and identification of performance obligations Prepare and post monthly revenue entries, including deferrals, accruals, and contract asset/liability adjustments. Maintain and reconcile contract asset schedules, ensuring alignment with billing and invoicing records. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Legal, Commercial, PMO, Regional Finance) to ensure contract clarity with contractual terms. Support month-end close activities, including preparation of revenue reports and reconciliations for management review. Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed. Continuously improve revenue recognition processes and participate in system/process automation projects. We expect you to be good at several of the following and be able to - and interested in - learning the rest: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification is beneficial). 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting, contract review, or general accounting, experience in a subscription-based or SaaS environment is beneficial Solid understanding of IFRS 15 and revenue recognition principles. Experience with contract management and interpreting legal/commercial terms. Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Workday) and Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.) Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Thorough attention to detail and ability to work with little supervision and within a team. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
