- Improving the impact, and understanding, of financial reporting on business performance
- Providing analysis and delivering insight that links financial reports to business strategies
- Providing effective commercial procedures, or initiating change, to ensure key operational, commercial, and financial targets are delivered
- Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. S/he will help business units understand their financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the annual budgeting process and help business units create accurate financial forecasts. S/he will work closely with department heads to ensure budgets are aligned with strategic goals and provide guidance on cost control and resource allocation.
- Performance Reporting: Develop and deliver regular financial reports to business units, highlighting variances from budgets and forecasts. S/he will explain the reasons behind these variances and offer actionable insights to improve performance.
- Financial Planning: Collaborate with business leaders to develop long-term financial plans and models, which can include scenarios for growth, cost reduction, or market changes. FBPs help business units set financial goals and create strategies to achieve them.
- Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities and work with business units to implement cost-reduction initiatives while ensuring that essential operations are not adversely affected.
- Strategic Decision Support: Provide financial insights to assist in strategic decision-making, such as market expansion, product launches, or mergers and acquisitions. FBPs help evaluate the financial implications of different strategic options.
- Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with department heads, managers, and other stakeholders in the organization. They act as a trusted advisor, facilitating communication and collaboration between finance and other functions.
- Continuous Improvement: Constantly seek ways to improve financial processes and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations within their business units.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- CPA or CFA certification preferred
- Certification credentials in Analytics or Data Science are a plus
- 5+ years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, preferably with experience in preparing KPI dashboard reports
- With experience in zero-based budgeting
- With a strong understanding of financial statements and reporting, background in BPO or service industries with a range of service portfolios and/or commercial entities preferred
- With strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Has excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and project management skills,
- Must be proactive, a self-starter, able to prioritize tasks, and have the ability to multi-task and work independently.
