Mandaue - Accounting Officer

• Ensure the accurate and timely maintenance of financial records, guaranteeing that all entries are fair, valid, and supported by relevant details.
• Generate invoices and monitor accounts receivables, ensuring timely and accurate collections.
• Prepare checks for payment to suppliers, adhering to payment schedules and accurately maintaining supplier records.
• Conduct regular account analysis and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in cash/bank accounts, affiliates, and relevant financial records.
• Collaborate with the Accounting Supervisor to prepare monthly financial statements and assist in tax return preparation.
• Maintain subsidiary records for depreciable capital assets, including cost, depreciation, periodic depreciation, accumulated depreciation, and net book value.
• Prepare monthly schedules and reports for both internal and statutory financial reporting requirements.
• Generate necessary forms, such as debit/credit memos, purchase requisition forms, and other financial documents as required.
• Monitor compliance with accounting principles, company procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing support for financial planning efforts.
• Utilize relevant accounting software and technology to perform tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth financial processes and effective communication.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Solid knowledge of accounts receivables, basic accounting principles, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
• Familiarity with relevant accounting software and technology.
• Previous experience in accounting or related roles preferred but not mandatory.
