- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's operational and financial objectives.
- Prepare procurement plans based on operational requirements and project needs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement efficiency.
- Identify, evaluate, and accredit reliable local and international suppliers.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent supply and quality.
- Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and recommend improvements when necessary.
- Oversee the preparation and processing of purchase requests, purchase orders, and related procurement documentation.
- Ensure all purchases comply with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Monitor order status and delivery schedules to ensure timely arrival of goods and materials.
- Manage the procurement of imported goods, materials, and equipment from international suppliers.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, custom brokers, and logistics providers to ensure smooth importation and delivery.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and requirements related to importation, customs clearance, duties, and taxes.
- Prepare and review importation documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bill of lading, import permits, and other shipping documents.
- Monitor shipment schedules and ensure proper coordination for customs clearance and warehouse delivery.
- Track international shipments and resolve any delays or issues related to customs or logistics.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contract terms with suppliers.
- Review and manage supplier agreements and contracts.
- Ensure favorable terms and compliance with company standards.
- Monitor procurement costs and ensure purchases remain within approved budgets.
- Conduct price comparisons and market analysis to support cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Prepare procurement cost reports and recommendations for management.
- Coordinate with warehouse, operations, and finance teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Ensure proper planning to prevent overstocking or shortages
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, internal controls, and legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, supplier contracts, and importation documentation.
- Supervise procurement staff and ensure proper implementation of procurement procedures.
- Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluation for procurement team members.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, with 2-3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in international sourcing and importation processes is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Knowledge of customs regulations, importation procedures, and international shipping documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement management systems.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills.
