As a National Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving our client's business forward. You will be responsible for developing strategic plans for your assigned area that align with the overall corporate marketing strategy. Your role will involve creating initiatives aimed at achieving consistent business growth through customer development efforts. You will also be tasked with maintaining and growing existing accounts while developing new ones. Ensuring proper customer servicing by monitoring stock availability and sales performance within the region will also fall under your remit. As part of your role, you will participate in company social media activities and events to support trade channels.
- Develop strategic plans for assigned area of coverage aligned with corporate marketing strategy
- Create initiatives aimed at achieving consistent business growth through customer development efforts
- Submit regular monthly reports on sales performance, business development, key trade issues and competitive activity
- Maintain and grow existing accounts while developing new ones
- Ensure proper customer servicing by monitoring stock availability and sales performance within the region
- Coordinate, investigate and report any product issues following company procedure
- Manage pricing guidelines for each account
- Participate in company social media activities and events to support trade channels
- Conduct periodic business reviews with team members and key customers within the assigned area
The ideal candidate for the National Sales Manager role brings a wealth of experience from the sales industry. With at least 10 years of experience in a related industry, you have honed your leadership and people management skills. Your excellent oral and written communication skills will be key in this role, as well as your strategic thinking ability and analytical skills. You are adept at negotiation and coordination, and your organisation and planning skills are second to none. A background in both local and multinational food companies would be a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Food Technology or any related field
- At least 10 years of work experience in Sales in related industry
- Relevant work experience in both local and multinational food companies
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strategic thinking ability coupled with analytical skills
- Proven negotiation and coordination skills
- Organisation and planning skills
