COMPANY: Leading Multinational Company POSITION: General Manager Caterpillar LOCATION: Fiji SALARY : Open to discuss OVERVIEW: Our client is a leading multinational company seeking for an experienced and strategic General Manager to lead their Caterpillar (CAT) heavy machinery operations . The role requires an individual with deep expertise in construction and earthmoving equipment , strong commercial acumen, and a proven track record of managing large-scale dealer or distributor operations. The ideal candidate will oversee end-to-end business functions, including sales, after-sales service, parts, and customer relationships while ensuring operational excellence and profitability. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Business & Strategy: Develop and execute business plans aligned with corporate goals and Caterpillar&aposs global standards. Drive market share growth, revenue targets, and profitability across product and service segments. Establish strong relationships with Caterpillar Inc. and ensure compliance with dealer standards and KPIs. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to drive strategic decisions. 2.Sales & Marketing: Lead and oversee sales activities for machinery, power systems, and CAT-certified used equipment. Drive business development initiatives in key sectors such as construction, mining, oil & gas, and infrastructure. Support the creation of pricing strategies, promotions, and channel development programs. 3.After-Sales & Service: Ensure high performance of the after-sales service and parts distribution functions. Oversee workshop operations, field service, and technical support to ensure customer satisfaction. Implement service-level agreements (SLAs) and continuous improvement programs for technical teams. 4.Operations & Compliance: Ensure efficient management of inventory, logistics, supply chain, and warranty processes. Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and environmental standards. Maintain accurate reporting and controls in line with Caterpillar audit and business requirements. 5.Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams across sales, service, and support functions. Build a high-performance culture with a strong focus on training, productivity, and retention. Represent the company in high-level negotiations and customer engagements. PRE - REQUISITES: Bachelor&aposs degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related field (MBA preferred). Minimum 12-15 years of experience in heavy equipment, machinery, or automotive industries with at least 5 years in a senior management role . Prior experience managing a Caterpillar dealership or similar heavy equipment brand is highly preferred. Show more Show less
