Job Title: Senior Bookkeeper/Accounting Specialist Industry: Commercial Janitorial Services Schedule: 4 hours daily (Mon-Fri) About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role goes beyond basic bookkeeping and requires strong analytical skills, financial reporting expertise, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review accounting records , financial statements , and tax documentation Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for business operations and budgets Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies Analyze financial performance and present insights and findings to management Develop and improve internal financial processes and procedures for greater efficiency Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support budget planning and forecasting Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities Qualifications Proven experience as a Senior Bookkeeper , Accounting Specialist , or similar role Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks , Xero , or other ERP tools) Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and communicate financial data clearly to non-finance stakeholders A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required Nice to Have Experience with tax preparation and regulatory compliance Background in supporting small businesses or startups Familiarity with automation tools or workflow optimization Show more Show less
