Academic DutiesDesigns and delivers subject lessons to the assigned classesCreates module plans, participates in articulation and collaboration sessionsTeaches the subject assigned to him/her, with emphasis on studentcentered activitiesPrepares instructional materials such as visual aids, Learning Activity Sheets (LAS), Information Sheets (IS), and formative and summative AssessmentsMonitors and evaluates student performanceAssigns, reviews, and assesses student work, including seatwork, homework, formative and summative assessments, to monitor student performance and evaluate learning progressCommunicates with parents regarding student performance, facilitating discussions through scheduled parent-teacher conferences or upon requestAttends and actively participates in Faculty general assemblies, meetings, and other committees assigned to him/herParticipates in grade-level meetings, contributing to the planning, execution, and assessment of grade-level activitiesEngages in task force meetings, collaborating on project planning, implementation, and evaluationEnsures the proper use, maintenance, and safekeeping of instructional materials, school equipment, and facilitiesII. Prefecting and Proctoring DutiesMonitors students at specific locations during Quiet Time, Mind-Setting Time, Check-In Periods, recess, and lunch on assigned days to ensure discipline and orderly conductMonitors students as a designated table prefect in the cafeteria, maintaining order and proper etiquette (applicable to Grades 3-6 teachers)Monitors students during the Sportsfests and Intramurals to ensure student safety and disciplineMonitors a class during dismissal (for Kinder to Grade 3) to ensure a safe and orderly departure (applicable to Kinder to Grade 3)Proctors a class during summative assessmentsIII. Advising and Counseling DutiesProvides individualized guidance and support to students, making referrals to the Child Development Center when necessaryHandles student disciplinary concerns, addressing minor infractions and escalating serious cases to the Grade Level Coordinator (GLC) as appropriateCoordinates with the Class Adviser and/or the Child Development Center to monitor and follow up on student referralsConducts group guidance sessions during Check-in period and Quiet Time, collaborating with the Guidance Counselor as needed (applicable to CT/CA only)IV. Student Recording and Reporting DutiesScores, records, encodes, and validates student marks in grading sheets (Edusuite)Compiles and submits reports on student honors and awards for review by the GLCo Recommends to the GLC merits and demerits for Grades 3-6Prepares and submits student attendance, deportment reports, and other required documentation to the GLCMonitors and records student attendance and punctuality to ensure accurate documentationEnsures the confidentiality and integrity of official school records pertaining to the students (e.g. report cards, exams, guidance test results)V. Performs other work-related tasks as may be required by the immediate supervisor and authorized representativeKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Subject Matter Expertise: Strong understanding of elementary-level subjects, including but not limited to language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, music, arts, etc. ensuring effective lesson deliveryInstructional Strategies: Ability to design and implement engaging, studentcentered learning experiences using a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
