- Manage the tax relevant financial, internal and external reporting requirements
- Actively involved in specific geographical region’s tax planning and direction, team strategy, and stakeholder management
- Maintain client and stakeholder relationships
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders and Operating Companies
- Manage projects to meet timelines and deliverables to stakeholders
- Internal and external performance reporting
- Individual performance and career management
- Responsible for supervising a small team of Tax of Excellence Specialists and Analysts
- Lead tax process improvements projects, which may include software implementation, automation, or workpaper improvement and ongoing continuous process improvement;
- Evaluate, implement and maintain emerging tax technologies
- Management of tax automation and reporting tools
- Assure that tax technology solutions are up to date with the legal requirements which includes screening changes in law to assist in assessing the impact on the different applications in use
- Special projects as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management or related field preferred
- Minimum 3+ years of taxation or relevant experience
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel (Ex: Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Charts and Graphs etc.)
- Working knowledge in International Indirect Taxation (Sales + VAT) is an advantage
- Ability to navigate complex tax issues and their implications to provide written/verbal tax advice and practical recommendations
- Knowledge in emerging tax technologies
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing data in Microsoft Office (Share Point)
- Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times with suppliers, internal customers and coworkers; fully observe Dover’s Code of Ethical Conduct, Employee Handbook “Personal Conduct of Employees” policies and ISO Quality System Standards
