Business Analyst (Functional & Technical) - BFSI Position: Business Analyst (Functional & Technical) Experience: 4-8 years (minimum 2+ years in BFSI domain) Employment Type: Full-time contract Work Mode: onsite Work location: Mandaluyong Role Overview: We are looking for a Business Analyst who can bridge both functional and technical aspects of projects within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) domain. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in business process analysis, requirement gathering, and stakeholder management, as well as technical knowledge of data, systems, and integration to effectively collaborate with engineering and product teams. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements (BRDs, FRDs, user stories). Translate business needs into technical specifications for development teams. Work closely with architects, developers, and QA teams to ensure requirement alignment and proper implementation. Perform gap analysis, impact analysis, and process mapping for new and existing systems. Document functional specifications, use cases, workflows, and data flow diagrams. Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and assist in preparing test scenarios and validation. Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring clear communication. Provide domain expertise in banking products, core banking, payments, insurance, or financial applications. Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and governance standards in BFSI systems. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field 4-8 years' experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2+ years in BFSI. Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies. Hands-on experience with requirements management and modelling tools (Jira, Confluence, Visio, UML, BPMN). Strong technical background - able to understand APIs, SQL queries, data models, system integrations. Experience in functional areas such as Core Banking, Payments, Digital Banking, Risk & Compliance, or Insurance. Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
