- Gather and define functional requirements for downstream systems (accounting, GL/sub-ledger interfaces, reporting feeds, MIS/regulatory extracts, and reconciliation).
- Identify gaps/ambiguities in requirements and drive closure with business owners (Finance, Accounting, Regulatory Reporting, Operations).
- Define end-to-end flows for key deposit events and ensure downstream impacts are covered (account opening, maintenance, interest accrual/posting, fees/charges, reversals, closures, adjustments).
- Produce and maintain functional specifications and interface-related artifacts:
- Data mapping requirements
- Field definitions
- Validation rules
- Frequency/cut-off times
- Error handling expectations
- Support SIT/UAT execution, defect triage, and retest coordination for downstream feeds and reporting outputs; ensure traceability from requirements to testing.
- Define and validate reconciliation controls (control totals, balancing rules, GL tie-outs, exception processes) and support sign-off documentation/evidence.
- Coordinate cutover and post-go-live stabilization activities (day-1 postings, first interest runs, EOD/EOM processing, reporting cycles).
- Maintain RAID logs, decisions, and dependency tracking for downstream scope.
- Provide regular status updates to integration governance.
- 5-8 years of experience as a System Analyst / Business Systems Analyst in banking or financial services programs.
- Experience in downstream/accounting/reporting domains (GL interfaces, reconciliation, regulatory reporting) is strongly preferred.
- End-to-end project experience from requirements through testing and deployment across at least two implementations.
- Hands-on experience with at least two of the following platforms: TCS BaNCS, Finacle, or Fiserv.
- Experience working with multi-stakeholder teams.
- Strong delivery coordination and disciplined tracking of plans, actions, and dependencies.
- Clear written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical progress into concise status updates.
- Strong documentation skills with attention to detail; able to maintain accurate logs and artifacts.
- Proficiency in Excel and MS Visio.
- Stakeholder management and follow-through across bank and vendor teams.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with ability to identify options and assess impacts.
