This role supports production operations by ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining safe and efficient working conditions across the plant.The Maintenance Engineer reports to the Maintenance Head and assists in handling building, facilities, and laboratory equipment to ensure smooth and continuous operations.Main responsibilities:Equipment & Facility Maintenance
  • Perform corrective, preventive, and improvement maintenance for all production machines and plant facility equipment.
  • Execute job orders for maintenance and repairs on time and properly document completed work.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment.
  • Monitor equipment breakdowns and implement control and corrective actions.
  • Monitor and report the condition of machines, utilities, and building facilities.
  • Inspect alarm systems (e.g., fire protection systems) and schedule repairs when necessary.
  • Detect faulty operations or defective materials and report unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Fabricate jigs, toolings, and other required mechanical supports when needed.
Operational Support
  • Ensure timely support to production to help guarantee on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist third-party contractors in setup, maintenance, and repair activities.
  • Provide technical support to other maintenance staff when expertise is required.
  • Generate productivity and improvement ideas within assigned work areas.
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe acts or conditions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas.
  • Support company initiatives on safety and operational compliance.
Main requirements:
  • High school graduate with a Vocational Diploma from a Technical Institute, or at least 2-3 years of college education.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of PLC, industrial controls, wiring installation, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge in fault finding and troubleshooting of industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Knowledge of different types of hardware materials.
  • Fair proficiency in English (written and verbal).
  • Good physical condition and willingness to render overtime and work on holidays when required.
  • Willing to travel moderately (approximately 50%).
