
Senior Advisor – Tenement Permitting

- Engages in consultations and negotiations with government agencies and local communities to resolve permitting and compliance matters.
- Conducts periodic compliance audits and assessments to identify potential gaps or areas for improvement and implements corrective actions.
- Keeps abreast of changes in mining regulations and policies in the Philippines and advises senior management on potential impacts and compliance strategies.
- Conducts stakeholder mapping according to OGP standards and recommend appropriate engagement strategies
- Repairs any damaged or difficult relationships externally in order to maximize OGP's influence and credibility
- Proactively identifies opportunities to use stakeholder engagement to deliver strategic benefit
- Engages effectively on complex issues with hostile stakeholders
- Proactively identifies and resolves tenement-related issues, such as land access, indigenous rights, and stakeholder engagement.
- Oversees the implementation of exploration plans, monitoring progress, identifying risks, and recommending adjustments when necessary.
- Conducts regular audits and reviews of exploration tenements to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards
- Monitors costs for tenement management
- Drafts contracts aligned with templates.
- Prepares reports and oversees logistical requirements
- Performs other tasks as may be directed by the Manager of the General Manager - EASP.
- At least 5 years experience in similar role or exposure in government relations, and compliance and permitting in mining and similar industries
- With experience in ground work or field work
- Excellent knowledge on mining laws, rules and regulations such as on the Mining Act, FTAAs, different Department Orders related to Health, Safety, Environment, Social Performance and Mining Operations.
- Broad knowledge on mining permitting and compliances.
- With good judgement and critical thinking and analytical skills;
- With satisfactory skills in writing and oral communication, negotiation, being resilient,
- Strong people skills and excellent skill working with teams
- Able to attend to details, immediately recognize exposures/risks, communicate effectively, organize, work under pressure, and manage time.
- Ability to travel and work at the Didipio Mine or other work areas apart from the Makati office as may be required
