Deep understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes, including patient access, billing, coding, claims submission, denial management, and accounts receivable (A/R) follow-up. Leadership in a Global Context At least 8 years of leadership experience managing multi-site or global teams, specifically including experience with offshore vendors, indicating the ability to manage diverse teams and operations across geographical boundaries. Healthcare Industry Knowledge In-depth knowledge of US healthcare revenue cycle trends, including regulatory, market, and customer trends. Understanding of reimbursement models (e.g., fee-for-service, value-based care) and payer landscapes. Captive/Offshore Operations Management Demonstrated experience in managing and optimizing RCM operations within a captive unit or with significant offshore components. Proven Track Record Successful history of leading complex RCM functions within healthcare technology, services, or SaaS environments. Proven record of accomplishment of managing large-scale parallel transitions and leading revenue cycle assessments, system implementations, and operations. Educational Background Bachelor&aposs degree in healthcare administration, finance, business administration, or a related field is typically required, with an advanced degree (MBA, MHA, or MPH) often preferred. Key Skills & Competencies Strategic Planning and Execution Ability to define and implement a vision and strategy for RCM operations that aligns with the organization&aposs overall business goals. Strong focus on driving operational excellence and continuous improvement through process optimization and automation. Financial Acumen & P&L Management Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and managing P&L for a business unit or department. Ability to analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and drive revenue growth. Leadership & Team Development Proven ability to build and motivate high-performing teams, provide mentorship, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal departments, clients, and external stakeholders. Compliance and Regulatory Expertise Thorough understanding of healthcare regulations, coding guidelines, and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, CMS). Data Analysis & Reporting Proficiency in analyzing operational data, identifying trends, and creating clear reports for various audiences, including executive leadership. Problem-Solving & Decision Making Ability to proactively identify and resolve operational issues, make sound decisions under pressure, and drive change effectively. Technological Proficiency Familiarity with RCM platforms, Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)/Electronic Health Records (EHRs), billing software, and analytics tools. FOCUS AREAS SPECIFIC TO A CAPTIVE SETTING Global Team Management Experience managing and optimizing performance across geographically dispersed teams, potentially leveraging various time zones to enhance efficiency. Scalability & Growth Ability to build scalable infrastructure (people, processes, platforms) to support both current operations and future expansion, including potential diversification into new service lines or geographies. Vendor Management Experience with managing vendor partnerships, including offshore and outsourced resources, ensuring accountability, efficiency, and quality.
