The Service Manager - Fleet will oversee the maintenance and service operations of the fleet, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of all vehicles. This role requires strong leadership skills, a focus on efficiency, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of fleet maintenance and repair, ensuring vehicles are serviced and repaired in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to extend the life of fleet vehicles.
- Oversee a team of technicians and service personnel, providing training and support to ensure high-quality service.
- Monitor and analyze fleet performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for parts and services as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety within the team.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and vehicle inspections.
- Manage budget for fleet maintenance, controlling costs while maintaining service quality.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for fleet-related issues and customer inquiries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Automotive Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience in fleet management or automotive service management.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Certification in Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or equivalent.
- Experience with specific fleet management software or systems relevant to the position.
